Founded by Jeff Nicol, Privacy Ready, LLC, is
an independent privacy consulting firm focused on developing comprehensive
and effective corporate privacy compliance
programs.
Previously, Mr. Nicol was Intel’s first privacy compliance
manager, responsible for defining
Intel’s privacy
principles, policies, and compliance procedures.
Under his tenure as privacy
compliance manager, Jeff defined and refined
Intel’s privacy principles, policies, and compliance activities. Intel
was one of the first companies to earn both
the TRUSTe and BBBOnLine privacy seals,
and was an early signatory of the US Department
of Commerce’s Safe
Harbor program.
Prior to joining Intel in 1990,
Jeff worked in treasury for Altos Computers. He
is a graduate of California State University's
International Business Program
Mr. Nicol is a past member of the Board of
Directors, the Executive Committee, and the
Privacy Steering Committee for the Better
Business Bureau OnLine. He also was a member
of the Worldwide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Platform for Privacy
Preferences (P3P) Outreach Working Group.
